Yona Yona Ale's official beer restaurant, Yona Yona Beer Works, will be offering the limited-edition craft beer "WORKS Ale #42 Forest Echo IPA" at its Aoyama store on Saturday, August 23, 2025, and will then be available at all stores from the following Sunday, August 24.
This product is the 42nd installment of the "WORKS Ale" series, available at Yona Yona Beer Works. This time, in collaboration with Yaso Co., Ltd., which promotes the utilization of forest resources in Nagano Prefecture, a special IPA was born, making use of the bounty of Shinshu's forests.
What is the ultra-limited beer "WORKS Ale" series?
"WORKS Ale" is a limited-edition original beer series in which Yona Yona Beer Works offers a different style each time. It explores trends in America, the home of beer, as well as styles that are rare in Japan. This time, the 42nd installment will feature "Forest Echo IPA." It will be produced in extremely limited quantities, with only one brewing tank, and will only be available at six Yona Yona Beer Works locations in Tokyo.

Sustainable craft beer with the scent of the forest
"Forest Echo IPA" uses aromatic distilled water extracted from the branches and leaves of thinned wood (larch, birch, Japanese spicebush, etc.) that would normally be discarded. This not only captures the natural aroma, but also contributes to the environment and upcycling of resources.
The citrus fruity aroma from the hops is combined with the scent of forest trees, and the freshness of yuzu peel and Kuromoji, creating a refreshing botanical aroma that makes you feel like you're in the forest. Finishing with lager yeast gives it a clean, refreshing taste.
Although the alcohol content is a little high at 6.5%, it is dry and easy to drink, and you can enjoy the exquisite harmony of hops and forest aromas.
