[Yona Yona Beer Works] "Nemureru Shishishi 2024", a craft beer that can be aged like wine, is now on sale

"Nemureru Shishishi 2024" is now on sale at Yona Yona Ale's official beer restaurant, Yona Yona Beer Works.

The new product "Nemureru Shishishi 2024" (hereafter "Nemureru Shishishi") is a craft beer in the beer style known as "barley wine" that has been aged for more than 10 times longer than normal beer brewing. It features a complex aged aroma and rich flavor that are the result of aging for more than six months. The aroma and flavor gradually change during storage, so you can enjoy further aging like wine.
At Yona Yona Beer Works, it will be bottled and available for purchase on April 4, 2024.

Barley wine, also known as "wine made from wheat"

Barleywine is a rare beer style that is also known as "wine made from wheat." It uses 1.8 times the amount of malt as usual*, takes twice as long to boil (the process of boiling down the wort), and takes more than 10 times as long to age. Because it takes time, effort, and cost, it is a rare type that is hardly distributed in Japan.
